Michelle grew up in Dallas as the youngest of four children, and her parents led her to the Lord at the age of eight. As she was growing up, God opened many doors for her to deepen her relationship with Him through missions work, chaplaincy, and service within her local church. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University, Michelle taught kindergarten and 2nd Grade for five years throughout Texas.
In 2015, Michelle married her best friend, Peyton. They relocated to Houston, and they started attending Sojourn Heights. She took some time off from her teaching career to stay home and raise their two sons, Henry and Thomas, but in 2022, Michelle answered the Lord’s call to become the Children’s Director at Sojourn Heights. Having been a believer from a young age herself, she has always had a passion to share the good news of Jesus Christ to all young hearts, “so each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting His glorious miracles and obeying His commands” (Psalm 78:7). Michelle loves reading, spending time in the mountains, drinking coffee all day, and enjoying all the amazing restaurant options in Houston.
